Today I attended the Varnishing Day Reception for the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy. I was all set to take along a brush and some ronseal but it was a very different kind of affair. The champagne was flowing (not for me) and some very delicious canapes. I was very proud to see my work hanging alongside artists that I have long admired. The exhibition opens on the 4th June and runs until 12th August.
