must see//van doesburg @ tate modern

i visited van doesburg and the international avant-garde at tate modern yesterday and was really impressed. i must admit i'd never heard of him before but really loved the work, some beautiful geometry and typography. its certainly value for money as there's loads to see and plenty to keep a 6 month old baby entertained. you don't realise how churchly quiet a gallery is until you take round a squealing, giggling, burping (!) baby. loved by old ladies but frowned upon by old men and serious young art viewers.

as a memento i bought the tea towel below. from the feel of it i know its going to be one of those ones that just pushes the water about, but it'll add some style to my kitchen.
