with love from london

adam bridgland hosted a fantasy landscape postcard workshop at the courtauld institute last night. it was like school with cava...newspaper, magazine cuttings and pva glue all over the place. the works produced can be seen on his flickr site.

adam bridgland - solo show

it's been a while since i've posted...sorry about that. my husband, adam bridgland, has a solo show opening at curwen gallery next wednesday evening. it's been really exciting seeing our flat fill with lots of great new work over the last few weeks. it has prompted some weird conversations...

LB: why are you hanging out of the window?
AB: I'm spraying my boats.
LB: What with?!
AB: Vinegar.

...of course. if you're near tottenham court road on wednesday 6th may the opening is 6-8, all welcome.

time for a change

along comes spring and the season of buying flowers that come from supermarkets which never actually open, weird. i've decided to give my blog an update which will compliment my new website. i'm hoping to get it up and running very soon, after watching many youtube dreamweaver and fireworks tutorials posted by pubescent american kids. i should be out enjoying the spring sunshine but i've turned into a computer geek...aargh!

...and even more cardboard

i was browsing one of my favourite blogs design*sponge and discovered some one off cardboard pieces of furniture which have been made by david stark...i just love it! I really do need to get the cardboard, stanley knife and gum tape out again soon!

the love of cardboard continues...

it's been a while since i've done any work with cardboard but after a tip off (thanks liz!) i'm inspired to make some new work...check out the cardboard office. i only have a cardboard bird house in my studio at the moment, i've got a long way to go!
